A picture from our trip to the County last week

Here is an interesting shot (post processed in GIMP) that I took of a float that was ready for the 4th of July.
here is the same shot with no post processing, a average shallow boring photo.

I think its worth the time it takes to learn and experiment with the software available today that can make your images look much more interesting.

this image was taken with:
Camera: Canon 40D
Lens: Canon 18-55mm IS USM f3.5-5.6
Shutter speed: 1/320
Apeture: f 9.0
ISO: 100
WB mode: Sunny
Camera mode: Manual
Colorspace: sRGB
Metering mode: Evaluative

Now that's the technical specs of the shot, and if you do not have a Canon Camera yours may not say all the same things.

Now I'd love to see all of you learn about post processing, and how to take good photo's with the manual modes of your camera.

It doesn't take an expensive DSLR to make good pictures, if you think about your composition and exposure you can do it with any camera.

Good night,  Samuel
